Cool digs for Refrigeration Supplies Distributor

Five years ago, the newly constructed Refrigeration Supplies Distributor (RSD) facility in Sparks became a flagship design to be adapted by many other RSD locations in the West. A design-build team at Frank Lepori Construction collaborated with Jeff Gaudern, manager of the Sparks distribution center, to blend the best aspects of two RSD facilities in the company’s 88 centers.

Today, the Lepori team is nearing completion on a new RSD in Las Vegas which is 13% larger at 28,650 sf, but has the same welcoming elements in the Sparks design: a large parking lot, loading doors on the front of the building, a spacious retail showroom, meeting rooms, and a wide order counter.

To accommodate for RSD’s massive inventory of refrigeration products, the Lepori cabinet shop in Sparks milled 900 shelves for the new Las Vegas distribution center. The original RSD building is next door to the original building at 1899 Western Ave, Las Vegas, and will convert to all warehouse to support the new distribution center.

 “Lepori Construction is great to work with,” explains Jeff. “They will give you what you want. They really paid attention to making the spaces flow for our style of work.” Jeff appreciates having a training room to share ongoing technical developments in the industry for designers and installers. His training room in Sparks seats 50 at tables with a state-of-the art audio-video systems.
